The garden was originally designed and built as an Eagle Scout project by Ellis Minor several years ago.
Soon thereafter, our club took over maintaining the garden. Members help plant, water and weed the flowerbed every summer.
Our member have continued maintain the garden; minding the garden from May thru September when the group gathers to clean out the bed. In 2026, the RNK decided to honor the memory of recently passed members by way of the flower garden, establishing it as a "Memorial Garden." Work is underway for potential improvements, including commemorative bricks recognizing late members and coordinating with the city to install drip irrigation in the garden.
