Kiwanis Park was established in 1949 on the south side of Ripon, consisting of 4+ acres of wildwood natural beauty and featuring Mason Hill. For a brief period the club added a tow lift along the slope of the hill to help skiers and sledders back to the top of Mason hill; named for one of our past members. The tow lift has long since been removed, but the park continues to be open to the community from dusk to dawn throughout the year; and remains a prime spot for sledding in the winter.
The park is maintained for the enjoyment of all members of the community and provides great sledding in the winter and a walking trail the rest of the year.
The park was reduced in size in the 90s when roughly half of the land was sold to developers, restricting access. Sledders and nature lovers can access the park by foot from the city’s service road off Howards St, near the water tower
In 2016, a bat house was put up in the park, as part of president's Tim Lubinsky's president's project.
